Semiconductor (“Microquanta” or “the Company”) announced it has opened its new manufacturing
facility for perovskite solar products in Quzhou, Zhejiang Province, China on
July 31. This is one of the key construction projects of Zhejiang province from
2018 and one of the first production facilities for perovskite in the world.
The company claims that the cost of raw materials to make perovskite solar
cells is 1/20 of the traditional method. It is predicted that the grid-parity
can be achieved after the mass-production of perovskite solar cells with half
the price of current ones.
